Taos Pueblo

The Northside House is 1000 years old. That's not a typo. That's behind Mary. There are gift shops in some of the rooms on the first floor. I bought a man bracelet. MM got earrings. They make them right there.

Williams Lake Taos Ski Valley

We got caught in a hale and rain and thunder storm here. It got cold and dark and we were alone. Mary said, "I don't want to be the only ones here." The one other person hiding under the tree with us had already taken off. So in that crazy weather we ran and speed walked down the moutain side.

Today Mary said I (paul)ran ahead and left her behind. Paul thinking "she's a big girl she can take care of herself." I want to defend myself by saying I always stopped to let her catch up.

Jill's Pizza Photo, Dog in a Box

This fella cut a hole in his motorcycle luggage for his Jack Russell. Made a little windshield too. A coffee shop between Albuqu. and Taos.

Outback Pizza Taos. Jill likes food photos. This Pizza is called The Bottom Line. The crust was stuffed with olives. B&C of State College recommended this place. Homey atmosphere and very friendly staff.

San Francisco de Asis

In Ranchos de Taos, a mile or so from where we are staying, Paul discovered the San Francisco

de Asis church which has been immortallized in photos by Paul Strand, Ansel Adams and a painting by Georgia O'Keefe. Two nice ladies pulled up and offered to snap our photo. One, a French woman, shared her iPhone Ap SmackTalk with us. A cute guinea pig avatar repeats what you say. - Mary

Petroglyph Monument

Went exploring in the afternoon 100 degree desert heat. Climbed all over and found some nice petroglyphs. Packed ham/cheese, fried chicken and fed the chipmunks.

Black Eye

Sunray, Mary and I ran around town at 745am. I brought this towel. I got a black eye and some cuts when I walked into a low branch on a hike on the top of sandia peak.

Earnie, Summer, Cappuccino

Today we are going to Albuquerque NM. Earnie and I are reading a favorite book "Summer." This is on the swing in the morning where we are most mornings. The squirrel came over for a few Frosted Flakes. From the cover flap "...everything that I had wanted had come to pass, a hot southern summer and time at a southern beach, and a summer love."   And from another short story, "We were American boys in the 1950's...in summer we played baseball, and we did nothing else."
